Objective:
To Produce Engine casing for a popular 2 wheeler company, to meet their testing needs. In actual production these components are manufactured by PDC process but since the component was in the design validation stage huge investment in tool & time was un called for.

Duration:
4 Weeks

Process:
From the as cast data SLA – RP is made. This is used to produce wax patterns from the silicone rubber mold. The wax patterns are used for investment casting by Lost Wax process. The castings are finally machined in the desired surface.

Result:
Radiography & CMM reports are made for the castings. Accuracy in mounting holes was most important. The casting was fixed to the engine & the vehicle was successfully tested.
